I’ve been MIA for the past few days, both on my blog and Instagram, and the only reason is I was not feeling good and was very upset is I’ve put on weight!! 5 months back I was 55Kgs and now I’m 62Kgs and nothing can be more horrible than this happening to me.
I didn’t realize when did my favorite donuts, cappuccinos, Hot chocolates, Chai, ditched me so bad!!
The day I measured my weight randomly at a store, and the result came 62Kgs, I reacted like every woman might react with ‘ No! your weighing machine is faulty!’, I had to weigh myself at 3 stores to believe that I’ve gained so much! It came as a real shock to me. Though people used to tell me that I’ve gained a lot of weight, I still tend to ignore them with ‘ Looks doesn’t matter’, or ‘ I don’t care about my body shape’ . Things became worse when I felt panting issues, and my anxiety getting worse. That was an alarm that I actually need to take care of my body!
I decided to go on the keto diet.
What is Keto Diet? The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet. The idea is to get energy from fat rather than Carbs.
I know the ones who’re reading the word Ketogenic Diet for the first time must be surprised that how can consuming fat make us thin? and not having carbs make us energetic. I was in the same dilemma, but then I went through many websites on Google to read about this diet, and had word with some first-hand experience holders for the same and thought of giving it a try. ( DISCLAIMER: I AM NEITHER A DIETICIAN, NOT A NUTRITIONIST, JUST A RANDOM GIRL, SHARING HER EXPERIENCE ON HER BLOG)
I started keto diet on 13 January 2020 (Monday), for the complete day I ate butter, cheese, chicken, etc, but at the end of the day I ended up having Eclair and cappuccino which made me feel so guilty and my hard work for the whole day went waste.
You can’t expect to hit it perfectly on the first day, but with time, patience, and will power, you’ll eventually reach your goal.
On second day I took care of what I eat and ignored the temptations and cravings.
Then the third day, the fourth, and the fifth! I stuck to my diet but still was not sure. Thought of checking my weight again, just to check if there’s any fluctuation in my weight, and GUESS WHAT! I dropped my weight to 59.5 Kgs, just in 5 days. This is so unusual, I consulted my physician, and he told me the weight I’ve lost currently, is water weight, and my body still got a way to go in order to burn the fat, and that process will be quite slow.
I ‘m excited to see how this diet works for me.. will this still do such miracles like 2.5Kgs in 5 days?
