The news of the sad demise of Irrfan Khan came as a shock this morning. Still can’t believe the legend is not with us now.
The versatile actor entered the world of Bollywood in 1988 with his debut in Salaam Bombay! as a letter-writer.
Khan had won numerous awards in a career spanning more than 30 years and starring in over 50 domestic films, including a National Film Award and four-category Filmfare Awards.
Movie critics, peers, and other experts consider him one of the best actors in Indian cinema.
He received Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2011.
Khan was diagnosed with “unrevealed disease” in February 2018, and several media outlets have reported that he had “brain cancer” The actor took to his Twitter account after much speculation and declared that he would “tell his story” in “one week-ten days” and asked the media and fans not to “speculate” about anything.
His last film released before his death was Angrezi Medium.

In Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, Irrfan Khan played the adult version of Piscine “Pi” Molitor Patel. He created dialog-heavy moments as mesmerizing as the awe-inspiring visuals of the films.
“Mohabbat hai is liye jaane diya … zidd hoti toh baahon mein hoti”
The famous dialog is from Jazbaa movie. ‘ The film has the lead roles of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. The film is a remake of the South Korean film Seven Days, released in 2007. For this film Aishwarya won the year’s Power-packed success at the Stardust Awards.

The 2011 release Yeh Saali Zindagi features the lead roles of Arunoday Singh, Irrfan Khan, Chitrangda Singh and Aditi Rao Hydari. The film was directed by Sudhir Mishra and was the year’s biggest success. Irrfan Khan was outstandingly brilliant in the film with his straight-faced style of humour.

The dialogue is from the film Gunday, which features in the lead roles Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Ali Abbas Zafar wrote and directed the action thriller film. The film won the 60th Filmfare Awards for Best Action.

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns is a romantic thriller drama film. The movie was a sequel to the 2011 release movie Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster. The movie focuses on the pivotal roles of Jimmy Shergil, Mahil Gill, Irrfan Khan, and Soha Ali Khan. In 2018 a sequel titled Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 was released as well.
